Shri Sangay Lepcha sworn-in as the Pro Tem Speaker at Raj Bhawan

Gangtok, 28 May (IPR): MLA Shri Sangay Lepcha from Yuksam Tashiding Constituency was administered Oath of Office as the Pro Tem Speaker for Sikkim Legislative Assembly by Hon’ble Governor Shri Ganga Prasad at New Raj Bhawan today.

Earlier, the Chief Secretary sought permission of the Governor to proceed with the ceremony of Swearing-In of Pro Tem Speaker and read out the warrant of appointment.

The Governor administered the oath to the Pro Tem Speaker in the presence of the Chief Minister, Shri Prem Singh Tamang(Golay), Council of Ministers, MLAs, Chief Secretary, HODs and other government officials.

After the ceremony was closed, the Pro Tem Speaker was congratulated by the dignitaries with khadas.
