Temi Creative Studio inaugurated as a part of Global Cinema Festival

Namchi, 29th February (IPR): In, connection with the ongoing Global Cinema Festival, 2020 ‘Temi Creative Studio’ was jointly inaugurated by Director & COO, Graphiti (Mumbai) Mr. Munjal Shroff, Director Edit ft Studios (Kolkata) Mr. Harcharam Singh. Present, amongst others were Managing Director Temi Tea Ms. Mrinalini Shrivastava, officials from Temi Tea Garden and visiting dignitaries.

Temi Creative Studio project is funded by Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME), Government of India. MSME play a crucial role in providing employment opportunities at lower capital and aids in industrialization of rural areas reducing regional imbalances and encouraging equitable distribution of wealth.

The main aim of this project is to provide training and employment avenue to youths especially who are school drop out’s. This project will be assisted by Brand Consultant for Temi Tea Estate Mr. Aaron Leonart Bhutia who will be imparting knowledge on creative skills and various other facets of animation. This free of cost training will ensure that the learner can be self sufficient and can venture into their own entrepreneurship sector in the field of technology.

It maybe mentioned that Temi Tea Estate is run by Sikkim State Government which was established in the year 1969. It is one of the Organic Tea Estate in the country the organic certification was done in the year 2008. Grown at an elevation ranging from 1400 to 2000 meters above sea level, this estate brings about a range of exclusive tea flavors from the small state of Sikkim. Temi Tea is available in various flavors namely that of green, white, Oolong tea’s. Additionally, there are a total of four temi tea flush which is falls under Spring, Summer, Monsoon and Autumn season’s.

Rural Games and Sports meet

Rural Sports II organised by Gram Panchayat Units with technical guidance from Sports and Youth affairs Department enters second day. Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri PS Tamang (Golay) directed RDD and Sports and Youth Affairs Department to conduct the games and sports at GPUs level . The games and sports is being held from 25-29 February 2020. Rainy and snowy day in many places . Highest involvement of people in games and sports from all ages here in Sikkim . Tug of war, musical chairs and one km walk are added attractions . All GPUs in the state are organizing the games and sports with technical guidance from Sports and Youth Affairs Department. Cultural Extravaganza by participants of National Integration Camp

Namchi, 26th February (IPR): As, a part of the ongoing National Integration Camp a rally and cultural extravaganza was showcased at Central Park Namchi today. The five day camp is being organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan at Indian Himalayan Centre for Adventure and Eco Tourism Institute located in Chemchey.

The theme for this year’s camp is ‘Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat’ wherein a total no of 16 states and more than 250 children are actively taking part in this camp. This camp is a part of the 23rd National Integration Camp which is being organized across the country.

In today’s program the participants brought to view their cultural specialties of their states by performing dance and other forms of arts unique to their states.
