Contribution towards CM’s Relief Fund

Gangtok May 29(IPR): Shri Sujendra Rai and Shri Pramod Chettri called on the Secretary to the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri S. D. Dhakal in his office at Tashiling Secretariat this afternoon and handed over the cheque of the contributions made by the Nari Shakti of Wok Omchu GPU, Mandir Committee and the different sections of the people of Poklok Kamrang constituency for the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help Government’s effort to fight the COVID-19, a global pandemic.

The Secretary, Shri Dhakal on behalf of the Government thanked the people of Poklok Kamrang constituency for their kind gesture and generous contribution.

Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Dept. North District contributed towards CM’s Relief Fund

Gangtok, May 29(IPR): The employees of North District under the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services Department, have contributed Rs. 1,06,257 ( Rupees One Lakh Six Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty Seven) to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support the state government to combat against COVID-19 pandemic.

The amount was presented to the Hon’ble Minister AH&VS Shri Lok Nath Sharma by the Additional Director (North) Dr. Karma Bhutia at Tashiling Secretariat, Gangtok today.

The Hon’ble Minister appreciated their effort and extended gratitude for the generous contribution to support the state government at the time of crisis.

Hon’ble Minister Shri. Sanjeet Kharel inaugurated Flu Clinic at Namthang PHC

Namchi, 29th May(IPR): Hon’ble Minister Transport Department cum Area MLA Mr. Sanjeet Kharel inaugurated a separate ‘Flu Clinic’ at Namthang Primary Health Centre (PHC) today. Present during the occasion was Medical Office In-charge Dr. Mingyur Bhutia, BDO (Namthang) Mr. Ram Tamang, CDPO Mr. Lakshman Tamang, Medical staff of the PHC and local gentry.

This kind of flu clinic is one of its kind which has been established in a makeshift structure at the vicinity of Namthang PHC. This clinic will cater to people who are suffering from fever and other flues like symptoms. Patients who have completed 21 days of mandatory quarantine period but still have flu like indication can visit the clinic for check-up. The medical practitioners will do a thermal scan and if necessary will refer the patient to hospitals. This clinic will aid the public of the locality in the future as well.

The main guidelines of COVID-19 will be strictly followed at this clinic and if anyone is suspected of COVID-19 symptoms then the patient will directly be transported to STNM, Gangtok.

South District Officials visit JNV, Ravangla

Namchi, 29th May(IPR): A team led by DC (South) Mr Ragul K, ADC (South) Mr Satyan Pradhan and SDM (HQ) Mr Chiran Rizal visited Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) which is currently functioning as one of the quarantine Centre at Ravangla.

The officials briefed the inmates about the guidelines of COVID-19 and elucidated about the various functions of the Centre. They added that grievances put forward by the people have been taken into account and that the south district administration is looking into it and if needed will try to bring about constructive changes in the Centre as requested by the inmates.

The South District administration is doing it’s best in providing adequate facilities at the centre. Moreover, mandatory medical checking and testing are being undertaken by the medical practitioners posted at the Centre.
