Gangtok, 20 Aug: A joint frontier level Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force Mountaineering Expedition Team “Pulkit” was flagged-off by Hon’ble Governor Shri Ganga Prasad on 26th July, 2019 from Raj Bhavan.
Sikkim has successfully scaled the virgin peak ht. 6889 mtrs near sacred Gurudogmar Lake on 14th August, 2019 which marked the intrinsic connect that ITBPF has been constantly establishing with the mystical mountains of Himalayas and Sikkim thus added another golden feather in the Cap of ITBP Mountaineers called as “HIMVEERS”.
The expedition team led by Shri Digvijay Singh, Deputy Commandant accomplished its mission with the formal Flag-in ceremony on 19th August, 2019 at Raj Bhavan graced by the Hon’ble Governor who showered the Expedition Team and the ITBP with his blessings.
This mountaineering expedition was conceived, organised and conducted under the guidance of Shri Sanjeev Raina, IG North East & Eastern Frontiers and Shri S.R. Roy, DIG (Lucknow) with the support of Shri Kapil Dev Dwivedi, DIG (Gangtok) and Shri Angad Prasad Yadava, Commandant (Staff) ITBP, Gangtok.
