Pakyong, 17 March (IPR): Minister of Labour, Govt. of Sikkim, Shri Lok Nath Sharma visited CIPLA, a pharmaceutical company at Kumrek, Rangpo today, along with the Chairperson Labour Smt. Ganga Parsain and the concerned Secretary Shri Karma Namgyal Bhutia.
Minister Sharma chaired a meeting with the Vice President CIPLA Shri Ujwal Shendre, Head of HR Shri Shourya Sen and senior officials of the company and enquired about the facilities being provided to the entire workforce. He was keen to know whether the companies are providing benefits at par with the issued guidelines or not. Minister Sharma stressed ensuring all benefits for the welfare of workers and professed to know the implementation of notified guidelines.
Minister Sharma and Secretary Bhutia interacted with the officials and had a thorough discussion on various aspects of the welfare of local workers likewise, medical treatment of critical diseases, management of the workforce, professionalism practices, skilling up laborers etc. in detail. Later, the minister also visited the manufacturing unit.
