Gyalshing,17th March 2023
The 3rd-day celebration to commemorate International Women’s Day 2023 with the theme”empowering women through sports” organized by the department of Sports & Youth Affairs Gyalshing district was held at Kyongsa ground today.
In the events for the day, 8 teams participated in the tug of war and the final was lifted by Langang Women’s team.
In the semi-football finals, the first match that was played between Hee Martam BAC Vs Yuksam BAC, the latter turned out victorious and in the second match played between Dentam BAC Vs Lingchom SSS the former was declared the winner.
It is to mention here that the winners of today’s football match shall go for the final on 25 March 2023 at the same venue.
Finally, the winner of tug of war was bestowed with certificates and attractive prizes by Jt.Director Sports & Youth Affairs deptt.Gyalshing Ms. Nickey Lamu Bhutia.
