The 54th Board meeting of SICUN Sikkim State Cooperative Union

Pakyong, 23rd January (IPR): The 54th Board meeting was conducted today at SICUN Sikkim State Cooperative Union, Assam Linzey. The meeting was chaired by Chairman SICUN MR L.P Khafley, Vice Chairman SICUN Tashi Ongden Lepcha, Additional Secretary Finance Departments Mr. Mahendra Pradhan, Joint Registrar Cooperation Department Mr. P.T. Lepcha, CEO SICUN Phadung Bhutia, Board of Directors Mr. Bishnu Chamling, Mrs. Aita Maya Rai, Bishnu Kumari Manger and National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) representative Mr. Lalit Pokhrel.
The meeting had a discussion on agendas put during the 53rd board meeting pertaining to the amendment of the provision of the constitution (SICUN) and reservation policy of the representation of all six districts.
Some important points for approval were also discussed in detail regarding the Lease agreement with the National School of Drama (NSD) of leasing a certain portion of the complex for running their courses for the period of two years. The board members also highlighted the merits of conducting capacity-building training, establishing the Computer training center and introducing Digital marketing.
The Chairman also underlined the benefits of provisions for the Consultation workshop at SICUN and informed that this initiative would help the stakeholders to be more familiar with the cooperative mechanism.
The chairman also suggested inducting tourism-related services in sync with Cooperative societies.
