The inauguration of Sikkim Garib Aawas Yojana(SGAY) houses under Soreng and Chumbung block was held at Community hall, Timberbung

Soreng, 12 May (IPR): The inauguration of Sikkim Garib Aawas Yojana(SGAY) houses under Soreng and Chumbung block was held at Community hall, Timberbung today.
With a total of 73 beneficiaries, the inauguration was done by MLA Shri Aditya Golay. Also present as guests were Advisor (Tribal Welfare Board) Shri P.K. Subba, Chairperson (Skill Development Department) Shri Binod Basnett, Panchayats, DC Soreng Shri Bhim Thatal, ADC/Dev Shri Gaayas Pega, BDOs of Soreng and Chumbung respectively and local gentry.
MLA Shri Aditya Golay in his addressed, welcomed and congratulated all the beneficiaries. He also expressed his sincere gratitude towards the BDOs, Engineers, BAC staffs and others on a successful deliverance of the scheme. He informed that the planning of implementation of recently announced AAMA, BAHINI and Vatsalya Schemes in the Soreng district is underway. Adding to this, he said that the Chief Minister has made Medical Assistant Cell in old STNM hospital for convenience of the visiting patients. In his concluding remarks, he urged the budding generation to focus on entrepreneurship by taking advantages of different schemes and benefits provided by the Government.
Addressing the gatherings, DC Soreng Shri Thatal highlighted on the importance of having a concrete relationship between the beneficiaries and fiduciaries for growth and development. Every beneficiaries should be vigilant while making their houses, he added. He said that a sense of community ownership should always be kept in mind while seeking for prosperity. Briefing on the importance of community hygiene, he advised to be mindful while segregating between dry and wet waste for easier collection and disposal.
ADC/Dev Shri Pega briefed about the construction and materials to be used for SGAY house. He informed that till April 313 houses have been completed under Soreng- Chakung constituency and 194 houses are yet to be completed within May.
